Dr Johnson graduated from medical school at University of California, San Fancisco in 1972. He completed his residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Minnesota (1977). He is board certified in both Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been practicing as a California licensed physician in Salinas, California since 1977. Dr. Johnson is on staff at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital (1977-present) and has served as Chief of GI Endoscopy 1992-1994.
His work history includes Los Palos Medical Associates (1977-2009), Los Palos Gastroenterolongy Inc.(2009-2016) and director of Los Palos Ambulatory Endoscopy Center (1993-2017). He is currently employed by Los Palos Gastroenterology Specialists, Inc. (2016-present). He is presently the director of Central Coast Endoscopy Center Inc,. He is a member of various medical societies including AGA, ASGE, AMA, CMA, .He actively travels throughout the year, often attending medical conferences and seminars of interest to him.Dr. Johnson grew up in Carmel Valley and still lives there with his family. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and hiking.
