Dr. Vikram Patel was born and raised in Monterey County. After graduating as valedictorian of his class from Salinas High School, Dr. Patel earned a Bachelors degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California Berkeley. He then graduated from Ross University School of Medicine with High Honors.
He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) where he was selected as Chief Resident. After residency, he stayed at FAU as an Assistant Professor of Medicine where he taught medical students and residents. He went on to complete his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at Cooper University Healthcare in New Jersey. He enjoys trail running, basketball, hiking, and Mexican food.
Dr. Patel is excited to be back Home to help serve and heal the community he was brought up in!
